Card effect (current official text)If there are face-up monsters with the same name on the field, destroy those monsters. (If a monster is Summoned or flipped face-up that has the same name as a monster that is already face-up on the field, the new face-up monster is destroyed. If they are Summoned or flipped face-up at the same time, they are all destroyed.)

Rulings

  • Sheep Tokens will be destroyed by the effect of Kotodama since Monster Tokens are considered cards.
  • If two Flip Effect monsters are flipped face-up at the same time while Kotodama is on the field, their effects are negated and they are destroyed.
  • If 2 or more monsters with identical names are on the field when Kotodama is Summoned, they are all destroyed.
