Card effect (current official text)You can only control 1 "Grandmaster of the Six Samurai". If you control a "Six Samurai" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). If this card in your possession is destroyed by an opponent's card effect: Target 1 "Six Samurai" monster in your GY; add that target to your hand.
Rulings
(C) You can only control 1 Grandmaster of the Six Samurai monster. (S) While you control a face-up Six Samurai monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. (1) When this card is destroyed by your opponent's card effect, add 1 Six Samurai monster from your GY to your hand.
- The (C) Unclassified Effect functions as a Condition. It cannot be negated.
- If you gain control of a monster named Grandmaster of the Six Samurai, send it to the GY.
- The (S) Unclassified Effect functions as a built-in Summon. This Special Summon does start a Chain.
- The (1) mandatory Trigger Effect cannot miss the timing.
- This effect targets 1 Six SamuraI monster in your GY, and can target itself.
- This effect activates & resolves in the GY / removed from play area.
- This effect activates if your opponent's card effect destroys this card in your hand / field / Deck.
- The (1) Trigger Effect will NOT ACTIVATE if:
- your opponent uses your Royal Oppression to negate this card's built-in Special Summon.
- the Continuous Effect of your other Six Samurai destroyed Grandmaster as a substitute.
