Rulings

(1) As long as this card remains face-up on the field, any card sent to the GY is removed from play.

  • The (1) Continuous Effect applies while this card is face-up on the field.
  • If Banisher of the Light is destroyed, it will be sent to the GY. If Banisher of the Light and other monsters are destroyed simultaneously all monsters are sent to the GY.
  • If Don Zaloog battles an Attack Position Banisher of the Light, Banisher is marked as destroyed at the end of Substep 4 - Damage Calculation, but its Continuous Effect still applies, so any card sent to the GY in Substep 5 - After Damage Calculation (by Don Zaloog) will be banished. Finally, in Substep 7 - End of the Damage Step, Banisher of the Light is sent to the GY.
  • Kuriboh and Thunder Dragon can be discarded from your hand and activated while Banisher of the Light is on the field.
