Card effect (current official text)Before damage calculation, if this card was attacked by an opponent's monster and was in face-down Defense Position at the start of the Damage Step: Equip this card to the attacking monster. Then, during your opponent's next Standby Phase, destroy the monster this card is equipped to.
Rulings
(1) If an opponent's monster attacks this face-down Defense Position card, this card becomes an Equip Card equipped to the attacking monster, without applying damage calculation. (2) Destroy the equipped monster during the Standby Phase of your opponent's next turn.
- The (1) mandatory Trigger Effect activates & resolves on the field.
- This effect activates in Substep 3 - Before Damage Calculation.
- If "Mystic Swordsman LV2" attacks, its effect will not activate.
- If "Drillroid" attacks it, its effect will activate.
- If this face-down card is attacked by "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6" or "Guardian Kay’est", it will still be equipped to the attacker, but it will not destroy the equipped monster during the Standby Phase.
- The (2) Continuous-like Effect applies on the field.
- This effect is treated as the effect of an Equip Spell Card.
