Card effect (current official text)Select 5 cards from your Deck and show them to your opponent. Your opponent selects 1 card among them. Add that card to your hand and discard the remaining cards to the Graveyard.
Rulings
- Q: Can I activate "Painful Choice" and "Necrovalley" and still get all 5 pieces of Exodia? A: Painful Choice does not target a card or cards IN the GY, so it is legal to activate while "Necrovalley" in on the field. "Necrovalley" does not negate the requirements for discarding to the GY by cards like "Painful Choice". 01/15/04
