Card effect (current official text)Target 1 Plant-Type monster you control; equip this card to that target. It gains 500 ATK. If this card is destroyed by a card effect while equipped: You can target 1 Plant-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target.
Rulings
- If the equipped monster is changed to another Type, this card will be destroyed.
- This card’s effect targets the Plant-Type monster to be Special Summoned.
- This card’s effect to Special Summon starts a Chain.
- If "Plant Food Chain" and the monster it is equipped to are destroyed at the same time, you can activate the effect to Special Summon a monster.
- If "Plant Food Chain" is equipped to a monster, and is destroyed by an effect that is Chain Link 2 or higher, you can activate "Plant Food Chain’s" effect after that Chain resolves.
