Hate Buster
Card effect (current official text)When a Fiend-Type monster you control is targeted for an attack: Target the opponent's attacking monster and that monster you control; destroy both targets, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the original ATK of the opponent's destroyed monster.
Rulings
- Hate Buster targets the attacking monster and the Fiend-Type Monster being attacked.
- If your Fiend-Type Monster isn't destroyed by Hate Buster, you do not inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points.
- Hate Buster inflicts damage equal to the original ATK of the destroyed monster after it is sent to the GY or removed zone. If you destroy a Monster Token or a Trap Card that is treated as a monster (Embodiment of Apophis, etc.) no damage will be inflicted.
