Card effect (current official text)Once per turn, when a Ritual Monster(s) is Ritual Summoned: You can target 1 monster in your Graveyard that was Tributed for the Ritual Summon; add that target to your hand.
Rulings
(1) Once per turn, when a Ritual Monster is Ritual Summoned, you can select and add to your hand 1 monster in your GY that was Tributed for the Ritual Summon.
- The (1) Trigger-like Effect is optional, it activates & resolves on the field.
- This effect activates in the Summon response timing (like Trap Hole).
- This effect targets the Tributed monster in your GY, it will be negated by Necrovalley.
- 2(+) copies of "Ascending Soul" can activate their effects at the same time, forming a Chain.
