Armed Sea Hunter
Card effect (current official text)After damage calculation, if this card battles an Effect Monster: Negate the effects of that monster (including in the Graveyard). You must control another face-up WATER monster to activate and to resolve this effect. If this card would be destroyed, you can destroy 1 face-up Level 3 or lower WATER monster you control instead.
Rulings
(1) If you control another face-up WATER monster, negate the effects of the monster that battled with this card, after damage calculation. (2) If this card would be destroyed, you can destroy 1 face-up Level 3 or lower WATER monster you control instead.
- The (1) Trigger Effect is mandatory, it activates & resolves on the field.
- This effect activates in Substep 5 - After Damage Calculation [REF].
- This effect does not target.
- This effect activates even if "Armed Sea Hunter" is destroyed by the battle.
- This effect is continuously applied to the destroyed monster, even in the GY. If it destroys "Treeborn Frog," its effect in the GY can be activated, but it will resolve negated.
- The (2) Continuous Effect applies while is card is face-up on the field, it does not start a Chain.
- You can't choose to destroy monsters that can't be destroyed (due to "Aegis of the Ocean Dragon Lord") as substitute for this card.
